How To Do It
- 1
Confirm you are renewing an ePassport
Official sourceIf the latest passport is a brown, green, machine-readable, or other older booklet, DFA uses the non-ePassport renewal checklist instead.
- 2
Decide whether the passport name will change
Official sourceIf yes, prepare the matching PSA civil-registry document for marriage, annotated birth/marriage details, or death of spouse.
- 3
Book and prepay the appointment
Official sourceSchedule at passport.gov.ph and complete ePayment where required.
- 4
Appear with the current ePassport and packet
Official sourceBring the data-page photocopy and any name-change PSA documents.
Fees

Important Notes
Name changes need PSA proof
Official sourceRenewal with a change of name is not the same checklist as plain renewal. Bring the PSA document that supports the exact civil-status event.
Older booklets are a different path
Official sourceNon-ePassport renewal is published separately by DFA. Do not assume the ePassport checklist covers brown, green, or MRP passports.
Where / How To Apply
Book a confirmed appointment at passport.gov.ph and appear at the selected DFA Consular Office or published passport site. Overseas Filipinos renew at the Philippine Foreign Service Post covering their residence.
Brown, green, machine-readable, or other non-ePassport renewals use a separate DFA checklist. Confirm that path at the office if your booklet is not an ePassport.
